Order a Hook, Change a Life

We believe in empowering children with upper bilateral limb differences to live fully independent lives. This includes giving them access to the tools they need to thrive. Our custom-made Dressing Hooks help anyone without arms dress themselves without assistance from caregivers, fostering confidence and self-reliance.

Children up to age 18 can order their first hook free of charge. Simply use the order form below, and we’ll ship your Dressing Hook directly to your door. Help your child unlock greater independence in their everyday life!

Please note: The hooks are also available for purchase for those over 18. If you would like to purchase one for yourself, a friend, or a family member, please email connect@rightfooted.org

3D Print Your Own Hook

Independence on demand

The 3D printed dressing hook is a smaller, lightweight version of our original design—perfect for travel, easy to replace, and simple to customize. Families can mount the hook to a standard suction cup (available online) and carry extras without adding bulk. A ¼ x ¾ hex head bolt is all you need to attach the hook securely to the suction cup.

If you don’t have access to a 3D printer, don’t worry—you still have options. Many local schools, libraries, and community makerspaces offer 3D printing services. High school and college classes often welcome projects like this, which means you could end up with not just one hook, but a few dozen—perfect for keeping extras at home, at school, or in your travel bag.

For families with a 3D printer at home, the possibilities are wide open. You can print replacement hooks whenever you need them and even experiment with different colors so your child has a hook that matches their personality and style.

With this option, independence becomes not just possible—but practical, affordable, and fun.

Step-by-Step Support for Families

Receiving a dressing hook is just the beginning—we’re here to help you and your child every step of the way. That’s why we created a series of five short videos showing how to use both the original and 3D printed hooks, how to teach a child to dress themselves with confidence, and how to care for the hooks so they last.

These videos are designed to encourage children as they practice new skills, while also giving parents, caregivers, and teachers the tools they need to provide support along the way. With the right guidance, every child can unlock new levels of independence in their daily life.
