Reimagining What’s Possible in the Air—and Beyond

The Impossible Airplane is a groundbreaking initiative to build the world’s first exclusively foot-controlled RV-10 aircraft for Jessica Cox—the first licensed armless pilot in history. Designed to expand her reach, comfort, and safety in flight, this custom airplane will dramatically increase Jessica’s ability to advocate for people with disabilities across North America and beyond, serving as a living example that “disability does not mean inability.”

Why It Matters

Rightfooted’s Commitment to Inclusive Engineering

The Impossible Airplane is a catalyst for inclusive innovation, expanding what’s possible for pilots with disabilities while amplifying Jessica’s mission across North America. By creating a custom aircraft that meets her unique abilities, the project demonstrates how thoughtful engineering can break barriers, challenge stigma, and inspire new pathways for accessibility. It represents Rightfooted’s commitment to inclusive engineering—designing solutions that empower more people to participate fully.
